UAL Showcase

We started from one strong belief: that in today's world, new and memorable experiences constitute our true personal luxury. We are convinced that these unique moments are what enrich our lives and leave a lasting impact. So here's to the memories in the making, to those extraordinary experiences that become the stories we cherish and share.

Problem Statement & Goals

The need for a virtual showcase for UAL final year students came from the covid-19 pandemic. The main method of showcasing students work has been physical, but with the itroduction of hybrid learning UAL Showcase (previously Graduate Showcase) came into being. The overarching aim of this project was to celebrate students' work (their final projects in UAL), as well as make their projects accessible as a portfolio space.

Project Scope & Results

In the scope of project was to create an entire subdomain (ualshowcase.art.ac.uk). I was stasked with creating a sitemap, project planning the design aspect of the project, designing subpages eg. Collections page, student project pages, homepage). There was an additional component added - the awards badging - which meet the requirement of celebrating work. I was able to create iconography representation and add this feature to projects that have been awarded (eg. https://ualshowcase.arts.ac.uk/project/634689/cover)
